What to Expect at Your First Appointment
When you first walk in the door, you will immediately notice how friendly our team is. We will have you fill out some light paperwork and then your audiologist will bring you back for your appointment. There is normally no wait time.
- We’ll start with a conversation about what brought you in. We want to understand where you’ve been having difficulties, what your expectations are, and what you are looking for in terms of treatment.
- Then we bring you into our testing booth, which is spacious and comfortable. We will give you a comprehensive exam, which involves looking inside your ears for anything visibly out of the ordinary, and then we will perform a standard tone test and speech test.
- We’ll go over the results in detail and answer any questions you might have.
- If we determine hearing aids might be a good solution for you, we’ll share what your options are and recommend what we think will be best for you. We also keep demo units on hand so we can show you what hearing aids look like and how they might feel in your ears.
